Miami Beach, FL: August 17th, 2009 - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
DIGA ENTERTAINMENT LLC CEO, Rick Stevens and Senior VP, Business Development, Rene Lavan today announced that Diga has pacted with two of the most recognizable brands in the Spanish speaking worlds, Grammy® award wining music superstars, INTOCABLE, from Mexico and legendary comic strip character, CONDORITO, for generations a fixture of Hispanic culture and one of the Top 10 most recognizable brands amongst Spanish speakers in North and South America!
Diga will exploit these brands and their profile and identity in the sale of prepaid calling products and is attending the Prepaid Press Expo to seek new partnerships with prepaid companies and their distributors to exploit these rights.
"At Diga, we have seen the power of marrying a respected, relatable celebrity figure with a calling product targeting the celebrity's primary fan base", said Stevens. "Our Los Temerarios branded card has sold millions for distributor, CVT/STi and in the past year our company has also launched products with Dollar, GlobalNova and Vivaro featuring personalities like Oscar De La Hoya, RBD, Russian singing star Dima Bilan and Brazilian superstar, Ivete Sangalo".
Diga invented celebrity branded prepaid calling products and is the leader in exploiting the marketing potential of the Latino and other niche markets thru celebrity branding and endorsements. DIGA has sold over $60 million of celebrity-branded prepaid phone cards at retail over the past 12 months. Click here for full release.
Grammy® award winning Intocable (Untouchable) are a superstar Tex-Mex musical group from Zapata, Texas that was started in the early 90's. Within a couple years as a band, Intocable had already risen to the top of the Tejano and Norteño fields with a musical signature that had fused Tejano's robust conjunto and Norteño folk rhythms with pop balladry. Currently, Intocable is the most influential group in Tejano, and their tough Tejano/Norteño fusion has become the blueprint for dozens of Tex-Mex groups.
Diga Senior VP, Rene Lavan, who will be attending the Prepaid Press Expo, commented, "A prepaid company seeking to target the Mexico call market would create an instant spotlight on and connection to their calling product and have an instantly identifiable card through an association with Intocable. It's the same formula by which we sold millions of the Los Temerarios cards."
Condorito is a comic strip that has been part of the Latin American and Mexican cultures for decades and is one of the most recognizable brands amongst Spanish speakers worldwide. Condorito comic books are the sixth leading Spanish language publications and the cartoon strip is syndicated to hundred of papers in North and South America and read by millions every week.
"We at DIGA have a handful of great projects and branding opportunities at this time and the main goal for attending the Prepaid Press Expo is to find companies focused on growth that share a common vision of standing out from the rest by having celebrities and brands place a spotlight on their products," said Lavan. "I'm looking forward to exploring the possibilities of forming new partnerships with prepaid companies attending the Expo."
